BFMC’s 5th Annual “Posh Picnic” at Tanglewood

The Berkshire Film and Media Collaborative (BFMC) presents its fifth annual Posh Picnic at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA on Sunday, July 22rd from 12:00 noon-2PM. This unique event will raise funds for BFMC’s new initiative – a Community Film Fund - which will provide support to non-profit organizations who want to create video for their marketing, fundraising and branding efforts. As Executive Director Diane Pearlman explains, “Video is critical for our non-profits to tell their stories and make a impact. But many times they don’t have th

e funds to do so. The new BFMC Community Film Fund will provide vital matching dollars to these organizations to help them create a high quality product. It will also create jobs for our film crews in the region.”

The Posh Picnic at Tanglewood includes a delicious gourmet catered picnic lunch on the lawn, an eclectic silent auction, and lawn or shed seating for the matinee performance of The Boston Symphony Orchestra’s concert featuring music of Adès and Sibelius conducted by Thomas Adès with violinist Christian Tetzlaff. The now famous “Bloody Mary bar” will feature vodka from sponsor, Berkshire Mountain Distillers.

Kent Jones

The Posh Picnic at Tanglewood will honor acclaimed filmmaker and writer Kent Jones, a Berkshires native, whose new feature film, Diane, starring Mary Kay Place, won Best Narrative Feature, Cinematography and Screenplay awards at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival. Jones, who has worked on numerous documentaries with Martin Scorsese, is Director of the prestigious New York Film Festival.

Additional sponsorship for the Posh Picnic is being provided by Blue Q.
