King Corona

Even the king of viruses needs a little Berkshire R&R now and then.

 

STEVEN OTFINOSKI (WRITER) Steven Otfinoski’s plays have been performed Off and Off-Off Broadway and throughout New England. His play The Audition won the Best Script Award at the 2019 Short + Sweet International Short Play Festival in Sydney, Australia. His radio dramas, Truth to Power and Queen Corona, both dealing with the COVID experience, were broadcast on WPKN in Bridgeport, CT this summer. Queen Corona will soon be part of a zoom production Shut In, But Not Shut Down, to benefit the Actors’ Fund. Other full-length plays: Stratford CharactersPirate PlaysMortal Friends and Danse Macabre. More than two dozen of his ten-minute plays have been performed at various venues in Fairfield County, Connecticut. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild, the Berkshire Playwrights Lab’s Berkshire Voices Workshop and Squarewrights, a cooperative of playwrights in Stratford. Steve teaches English composition and creative writing at Fairfield University and is the author of over 200 young adult titles.

CHRISTOPHER BROPHY (ACTOR) Christopher Brophy was born in the Berkshires. After high school he moved to Martha’s Vineyard and became an actor, working in countless shows for the Vineyard Playhouse and many shows in Boston. Since returning to the Berkshires Christopher has performed for Pittsfield Shakespeare in the Park, Shakespeare and Company, and Emergent Ensemble Theatre. He is a founding member of The Whitdiots improv troupe. This is his first film. Many thanks to Jim Frangione and Diane Pearlman for the experience!
