About the classes:
Working from Angela Nicholas' 99 Film Scenes For Actors and using Uta Hagen's Respect For Acting as a guide, we explore subtext, scene work and script analysis... that is, how to break down a script from the actor’s perspective.

We use theater games, warm-up exercises, and improv to prepare. We watch film and film clips and discuss them. Scenes from 99 Film Scenes are rehearsed in class and on the actor's own time and filmed and discussed in workshop session. By the end of your ten weeks, you'll have filmed a scene that shows you off at your best. You'll get a digital copy of your first demo reel.

We meet Thursdays in Great Barrington from 3:45 to 6pm, 247 Main Street (rear), the entrance is 528-Yoga across from Rubi's in the Triplex lot. You wouldn't be late for work on a film set, (if you would, you should probably consider a different profession), so be on time.

A professional attitude is expected and encouraged... and there is parking.
