The Massachusetts Production Coalition announced last week that the Spring MPC Member Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at High Output in Canton, MA.
Formed in 2005, MPC is a coalition of active professionals and related groups engaged in or related to the production of media within the state of Massachusetts, that offers its members opportunities to network and have an impact upon statewide production matters. MPC is a member-driven organization that works to create a production-friendly climate in Massachusetts in all aspects of film, television, and new media.
The spring meeting will include a networking reception followed by a formal meeting. Speakers will include Nick Paleologos of the Massachusetts Film Office on “State of the State” and “The Film Tax Credits and Jobs in Massachusetts”, and Pete Fasciano, one of the designers of the original Avid editing program, on “3D Production and Acquisition”. Topics of discussion will also include “The Gaming Industry” and “Rule Boston Camera – The Phantom Camera”.
