BTF's Made in the Berkshires festival seeks homegrown films!
Made in the Berkshires is Berkshire Theatre Festival's brand new festival of original works for page, stage and screen, taking place over two weekends in October at both The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield and the Unicorn Theatre at BTF's Stockbridge campus. Made in the Berkshires will celebrate the richness and diversity of output by local artists with cutting-edge theatrical work, live music, film, short stories, and dance. New and innovative pieces will be created and presented by local Berkshire County playwrights, actors, directors, and performers, broken up into two-hour blocks, allowing audiences to get a look at the breadth and depth of artistic talent that resides in Berkshire County.
Curated by Hilary Somers Deely and Barbara Sims, two local artists who are part of this region's rich cultural tapestry, Made in the Berkshires is seeking original scripts, films, stories, and dance pieces. The submission deadline is June 30.
To submit your film, forward two copies on DVD to Made in the Berkshires, C/O Berkshire Theatre Festival; PO Box 797; Stockbridge MA 01262. All submissions become the property of Made in the Berkshires and will not be returned.
