BIFF Invites Volunteers to Join in its Fifth Anniversary
Do you love independent films? Are you a fun and energetic person who wants to get involved in promoting the arts in your community? Become an integral part of this year’s Berkshire International Film Festival, and volunteer! Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to the festival’s fifth anniversary as we move into Pittsfield! An informational meeting will be held on Saturday, February 27th at 10:30 am at the Beacon Cinema.
The volunteer corps is a critical addition to BIFF and volunteers’ responsibilities include special event coordination, merchandise sales, ticket taking, and transportation of filmmakers and special guests. In addition, a handful of volunteers will be needed before the festival to assist with ticket sales and pre-event coordination. There will also be opportunities to assist with events in March and April, including the Academy Awards night at the Beacon Cinema and the Announcement Party at Haven in Lenox. Volunteers must be available for the entire weekend of the festival and attend pre-festival staff training.
For those interested in joining the BIFF team June 4-6 in Pittsfield, a meeting will be held on Saturday, February 27th from 10:30am to 11:30am at the Beacon Cinema at 57 North Street in Pittsfield. Volunteer positions are based on a first come first serve basis so it is important that all those interested get involved early and attend this meeting. For those of you who attended our first meeting in Great Barrington, this will be a similar informative meeting and it's not mandatory that you attend.
